Murray County Medical Center - Emergency Room 24/7
Barbara Hakeman, RN
Murray County Medical Center offers emergency services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. MCMC was designated a Level IV Trauma Hospital in 2006 by the Minnesota State Trauma System.
The MCMC Emergency Department entrance is on the west side of the hospital on Ironwood Ave. and provides rapid access to the two fully-equipped emergency rooms. A helipad is in close proximity to MCMC if the need arises for air transports to another facility for specialty care and treatment.
Our medical providers and nursing staff have specialized training to treat a variety of emergency situations for all patients ranging in age from infants to geriatrics. Registered Nurses with CALS, BLS, ACLS, and TNCC training are available to assess your emergency medical condition 24/7.
Fully qualified medical providers are in house on weekends 24 hours/day (Friday evening until Monday morning) and on call on weekdays to provide care for your emergent or urgent medical needs.
Radiology and Laboratory personnel are available for emergency testing and treatment including CT scan and blood bank services. Anesthesia and Respiratory Therapy staff can be utilized for trauma team activation or airway assistance when needed.
Staff receives continued education in emergency care and emergency equipment is updated or added when necessary to provide the best possible care for our patients.
