The Murray County Medical Center Foundation plays a vital role in improving healthcare services in our community. As a non-profit organization, its mission focuses on improving health outcomes across Murray County through community education, wellness promotion, and support for facility upgrades and equipment purchases.
By putting money into new health care solutions and resource, the MCMC Foundation is all about creating a healthier community. Monica VanOtterLoo, the foundations secretary and Chief Nursing Officer at MCMC says, “The foundation positively impacts the community through its mission to help fund health-related endeavors throughout Murray County and has the opportunity to partner with different organizations in making a difference.”
Many of our members have a strong commitment to this mission. Mary Mesner, who has been with the foundation for one year, emphasizes the importance of supporting the organization you work for. "Not only does the foundation finance projects for the hospital, but it also supports the community in a variety of ways," she says.
The foundation has made significant strides in advancing medical services through various donations, including, a portable ultrasound machine with $20,000 donated, lift chairs for inpatient comfort, advanced cardiac equipment such as exercise bikes and treadmills, and a cryo-compression unit for physical therapy.
Together, the MCMC Foundation members share a dedication towards creating a healthier community through collaborations and support. As we continue to fundraise and encourage participation, our hope is that more people join us in making an impact.
If you are interested in supporting the MCMC Foundation or joining, please don't hesitate to reach out. Every contribution helps us enhance care for everyone in our community!
