Computed Tomography (CT)

MCMC's 64 Slice CT Scanner offers the ability to image any part of the body, very fast, and with a reduced radiation exposure. It produces detailed images of any body part. CT scans may be performed to help diagnose tumors, investigate internal bleeding or check for other internal injuries or damage.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

Our in-house MRI with a robust magnet offers the fastest, most accurate testing in the area. MRI scans provide detailed imaging of all areas or the body. MRI testing is exceptionally good at imaging nerves, tendons, muscle, joints, disks, and soft tissue.

Mammography

Mammography is the most advanced screening to detect breast cancer. Women are encouraged to have annual mammograms beginning at age 40. A provider order is not required to schedule a mammogram. Please encourage your loved ones to get screened.

Ultrasound

MCMC offers a wide range of ultrasound procedures. Ultrasound offers a safe way to image parts of the body by using high frequency sound waves. This form of imaging is useful in diagnosing conditions, as well as evaluating fetal growth and development. If you are expecting, schedule your OB ultrasounds here in Slayton.

Additional Imaging Services

The radiology and imaging department at Murray County Medical Center also offers a complete routine of:

Nuclear medicine is offered by a mobile service that comes as needed. All of our imaging studies are easily transportable to other facilities either by CD or a network transfer. Ask your provider if you can have your studies completed here in Slayton. We can easily get the images and results back to your primary care provider.
